Conditions Treated With Adrenal Tumor Surgery

Stanford’s highly skilled team uses surgery to treat most cases of adrenal cancer. We may also suggest surgery to treat some noncancerous adrenal tumors that cause symptoms, including hormone problems, hypertension (high blood pressure), or discomfort.

Adrenal tumors

  • Adrenocortical carcinoma
  • Aldosterone-producing adrenal tumor (Conn’s syndrome)
  • Pheochromocytoma / paraganglioma
  • Cortisol-producing adrenal tumor (Cushing’s syndrome) 
  • Incidentally discovered adrenal tumor (adrenal incidentaloma)
  • Metastatic tumor to the adrenal gland
